Our distance learning courses currently address three main areas:

Personal wellbeing

Courses for people wanting to increase their resilience, happiness and ability to make positive changes in their lives.

The Happiness Training Programme, with Miriam Akhtar and Chris Johnstone, runs for eight weeks and starts on Sept 23rd 2015.

Practitioner training

Courses for coaches, health professionals, educators and other practitioners involved in promoting wellbeing in others.
We’d recommend the
Happiness Training Programme as a first step in Positive Psychology Practitioner training, as the best preparation for working with others is having personal experience of using positive psychology practices.

Planetary issues

Courses for people concerned about the condition of our world and wanting to strengthen their ability to make a difference.
We’re working on a video based online course on Active Hope, based on the book co-authored by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone. This is likely to come out in early 2016.
In addition, Jenny Mackewn and Chris Johnstone run a more in-depth facilitator training for people wanting to facilitate empowered responses to crisis in the world. Known as the Facilitator Development Adventure, it involves four residential weekends, plus a distance learning component. It runs from Oct to June each year. For more details, see their website at
this link.

And Chris Johnstone runs residential weekend versions of the personal wellbeing courses. For more details, see
his website events page.
